Great Local Garage becomes part of the ‘Good Garage Scheme’
The Garage, Quintrell Downs has always been known by its customers for its great service but has now been accepted and backed up in way of becoming part of the ”Good Garage Scheme’. The Good Garage Scheme was formed because of the need for effective self-regulation of independent workshops and MOT centres, ensuring trustworthy service from your local garage.
The scheme was launched in 2006 because there was a general view that the motor trade does not offer value for money and is not to be trusted. The Good Garage Scheme requires that its members, which number over 3,000, adhere to a strict Code of Conduct and offer a 50-point Industry Standard Service. This, coupled with a customer feedback system, means that customers have peace of mind when choosing an independent garage.
Every Garage that joins the scheme must not only adhere to a strict code of conduct and pledge to have their customers’ best interests at heart but must also agree what work needs doing with their customers before it is carried out, so no more surprises! They must also work to an industry standard checklist and must supply each customer with a feedback card allowing them to give their views on service directly to the Good Garage Scheme, which operates a stringent complaints procedure
You may ask what makes this scheme different and how do you know it’s going to really do anything or how is it enforced? Well, each Garage is subject to regular mystery shopper-style audits and face expulsion if they break the code of conduct. The Good Garage Scheme takes a strong line with its members and has removed 700 garages from the scheme, with this knowledge you can be sure that whilst the logo is displayed you will receive nothing but the very best, between me and you though, it’s always been the way at the garage!
Good Garage Scheme monitors customer feedback and receives as many as 10,000 plus customer feedback cards per month. These provide extremely valuable testimonials from customers as well as highlighting any concerns they have which we would take up directly with the garages involved. The feedbacks are posted on the Good Garage Scheme website to help motorists choose a suitable Good Garage. In addition, The Good Garage Scheme offers to liaise with motorists who may have issues with member garages so that these are resolved.
If you return the feed back cards before xmas then you will be placed in a draw with TGGS were you can win a Blu ray DVD, Sat Nav, an I phone or a Wii game console
